Is anyone keeping faith with Platinum Funds Management?
Their performance figures across all their products seem to be lagging all their respective indices.
I guess that explains the constant outflows of FUM.
I know some people are putting this down to the poor performance of value style stocks, but maybe there is something else contributing to the downfall since the exit of Nielson.
I watched a recent Q@A with both Andrew Clifford and Hamish Douglass. It was an eye opener on stock preferences and opinion. Pretty much everything Andrew liked, Hamish was like I wouldn't invest there. I think we all know who is performing better out of Magellan and Platinum.
Hard to know when to pull the plug, and look elsewhere. I am sure if I do, growth stocks will plummet overnight... that's my luck.
I also have funds wrapped up in another ex-platinum employee fund, Antipodes. This is going just as bad as platinum... I can really pick a winner.. not.
