What are people's views on the Platinum/Gold ratio?
Doug Casey reckons that a time is approaching where the rush of people trying to get into gold will be equivalent to someone trying to empty the Hoover Dam through a garden hose.
In this scenario it will be very interesting to see how high platinum goes, considering its scarcity and the fact that it has a track record of trading higher than gold.
Gold may well lead the pack when the house of cards falls over but I think platinum will trade very close and has a much superior long term future due to its scarcity and depletion rate, given the fact it has so many more industrial uses etc
