I thought the video offered an interesting perspective but was the comments seemed shallow.

I was surprised to hear the comments suggesting there was a trend to less use of platinum as used in diesel vehicles compared to Palladium/Rhodium used in petrol vehicles. Most car makers seem to be introducing an increasing number of diesel models.

The following paper has some discussion on diesel and would also suggest diesel engines will become more popular.
