Very little if any PGM production in Aust. Though a few listed co exist primarily with S.African tenement such as AQP, SLV, PLA. The prblem for the SA mines are manifold though it does seem they have seen an uplift in production recently.
However, rising labour and electricity costs and a falling platinum price are conspiring against future development.
It appears anecdotally that future production is being jeopardised by the need to meet existing contracts.

One very interesting project is in Colombia. This is where plat first discovered and was main global producer until early 1900's when politics, narco terrorism took hold.
Now seems the govt is driving out illegal miners/terrorists in attempt to reestablish robust mining sector. This is reflected in recent upgrade by rating agencies to same level as Brazil. Quite a number of Canadian miners have established operations there. Tend to be very large shallow low grade gold/silver operations. But there a few companies looking seriously to exploit the platinum ground.

One ASX listed company worth a serious look is CPD. DYOR but in my view though early days it potentially ticks all the boxes.
You will need to call management based Canada/Sydney to properly understand all that is occurring behind the scenes but as dear old Molly would say 'do yourself a favour'. Be warned it is a very tightly held little stock.
I guess one of the issues is that it is alluvial, but thats only coz noone has found the hard rock source....yet.
