The problem is that DYOR implies people know what they are doing!

Perhaps it could be said that you should not be investing (in specs especially) unless you do know how to research.

Even if you do your own research and know all the ins and outs of how to value a stock relative to it's sector and the greater market forces it's is still gambling!

Also people use DYOR as a disclaimer to counteract some outlandish statement.

I am surprised in the depth of knowledge people have in various sectors. Undoubtedly there are HC members with backgrounds in the various fields relative to their holdings. But this cannot be the case all the time.

Anyway like trade4profit says use HC as a heads up tool only.
