Joke’s on me. Not that it affects why I donated in any way, but I’ve just gone to look at the actual GoFundMe page and they live about 25 miles from me. The Discovery Science Center they went to is only about 12 miles from my home.
So much for “the other side of the world,” though it might be even more amazing that it took the other side of the world for me to find this story that is in my backyard.
From a purely selfish perspective, I learned about Rett Syndrome out of all of this, and was reminded of why we need more companies like NEU.
