about half or more of my best food experiences have come from eating things that I've had no idea what they were -

I either assumed incorrectly or just thought something looked good and chose it

only to find that if I'd have known what it was - I probably wouldn't have gone for it.

Lack of language comes with both disadvantages and advantages for me.
