Very little. One of my brokers has been fobbing off my Iress complaints since the sudden switch 2 years ago. No longer raise it with them.
Why very little? It's a closed, captive market if you want a Chess sponsored broker. The Iress end-brokers are unlikely to offer any new platforms, and Iress will ensure that Australian brokers toe the line or face being cut off totally with higher fees.
But the fact is Iress no longer has a Social Licence to Operate in Australia after constantly degrading services to retail traders over the last few years enabling hft trading programs to take over the public market here.
They are delinquent in their role of providing a viable rapid trading solution for Australian retail traders.
I would suggest: by design.
