Yes I am comforted that in contrast OZL (and PNA too) are just doing what the market is doing.
Noting how hard the before mentioned has been ramping (biff,biff,biff) his gamble incessantly with soothing words shows the kind of emotional attachment that presumably glued him emotionally to OZL 3 years ago. A (some might say nut) case study in how to get investing completely wrong. A case study in how ramping can also only have short term effect.
Strong proven assets with strong balance sheets like OZL almost always come through strongly in the end, even if only under solid steady management - and I believe we have better than that. OZL being strongly positioned may well be capitalising on the current market weakness to try to acquire new assets - there really is seldom a bad market for strongly positioned companies like OZL, provided ego's stay out of the strategy - as is now proving the case.
