How does a 5c reduction in capital and an equivalent reduction in the number of shares benefit shareholders?(excluding some minor tax savings). They are currently paying out a 53% dividend payout ratio. In todays environment why not increase that level for years to come with franking credits. I think management have got it very wrong..............but I have been wrong before..............Someone else hates it and is exiting big time.
