    why is it trading at 2.70/2.71 when there is a cash offer for 2.78?

    Is there some doubt that the t/o will proceed?

    Will it take a long time for the cash to come through and the 7c discount is the interest you need to pay on $2.70? At 8.5% interest that equates to around 3.5 months.
