I'll be the first to admit that human emotions come into play a lot of the time and the thoughts of those that have an average buy in price of 50c is going to be vastly different to those that have an average buy in price of 1-2c, but the mere fact that so many are still holding a great number of shares after having bought in at 1-2c tells me that they are starting to look for more than just cash.
Already those with 5m plus shares could sell and retire comfortably after tax on what they have in PLS, and those that hold many millions I would expect to sell some if we get to $1+, but they don't have to sell the lot all at once, especially if they can see where the EV industry is going over the next 10-15 years.
If they are holding at 50c still with those numbers then 1m out of 5-10mill gets them comfortable with a great future to look ahead to.
Apart from the tax implications of selling a great number, you then have to work out what is a better investment to put your money into.
I'm open to all ideas here as I can't think of anything to put my cash into that has a better more guaranteed future than this resource and us who currently own it.
If for example we were taken over in a hostile T/O by MIN in a scrip deal, I'm very likely to keep the MIN stock as I would still be an owner of this resource.
I truly hope that doesn't happen and our management that are getting better all the time, and I'll put some of it down to Ken learning about the advantages of owning a massively wanted asset, instead of the crumbs he had to work with at the previous mob, plus our new Chairman Tony Kiernan giving great guidance and having many contacts throughout the mining world, can actually take us to be a mining AND a processing giant of the lithium world.
Then you add the growth of the lithium world, and by looking at income projections for a few years time, it goes into the hundreds of millions per annum. Some will be distributed as dividends but the company, like most companies will then have the opportunity to grow into other areas, who knows what now, but in 5 years or so they will start thinking of diversification.
It doesn't seem like it to many people but we the retail shareholders here do have control not any outsiders, and the company is heading straight towards mining. We have much larger numbers than any outside fund/institution or company by the country mile, and as management are working in the direction we want, and remember our Chairman paid 61c for his shares, a huge vote of confidence, in the company. So he will not be looking for $1 and will at some stage possibly ask for shareholder support to make us a mining company and I intend to do everything I can to help get us there which will have the highest value for ALL shareholders.
I just don't see a takeover at $1,$2 or $3 being in any of our interests even at this early stage of development, because I just can't see a better investment in anything.
Especially as there is just nothing out their with less risk, as governments turn the world into an electric one run by renewables and battery storage as they simply have to ASAP.
If we were $3/sh could anyone name a single better investment with less risk than PLS because of our massive resource? I certainly don't know of one.
Of course I'd better put in the caveat IMO.
