We come across many studies and companies involved with ddRNAi every week; if BLT reported on all developments in the field which are covered by their patents there would be an announcement or two almost every day, however they would be so busy with this it would seriously eat into their precious time required to advance the trials and the science. You wouldn't believe how much work is being done. I only post the best studies that I find and I turn my nose up at most studies that are only in cell cultures. We come across many companies working with ddRNAi too and many of those developments are not officially released to the market. I suppose it is up to Benitec what they release. But yes, both of these announcements were discussed at length on this board a long time ago. However we cannot predict, out of all our findings and research, exactly which things will be announced and which things won't. For example, I would have thought the excellent recent cardiac study that showed ddRNAi recruited stem cells to repair heart muscle and published in Nature (from memory) would have been announced but it was not. (A more elegant method than Mesoblasts) No problem. Too many announcements might be overwhelming.
