hatless you are spot on ...... GST is the collecting of revenue for the gov't. A dollar in and a dollar out. It impacts cash flow, yes (you collect it at point of sale and then remit it to the gov't on a periodic basis). It has no impact on profit. The only impact it would have (and this is unclear from the ann) whether it is GST they have paid for purchases for which they can claim no input credit for (or something like that - forgive me if the terminology is wrong).
