I just stumbled across this thread by accident really but might have some useful info. On the ASIC website you can search for a list of docs which companies have lodged. Here is a screenshot for Metal Storm, but you can also search for yourself:

They lodged a form 524 in dec 13. 524 is required under the corps act and i understand is to advise ASIC of the position of the company and the expected outcome. In MSTs situation this effectively replaces the need for annual accounts (I am pretty sure).
