I don't believe that it is a prop bid, as it is at the top of the queue, so they run the risk of being filled in by anyone who wants to sell. Additionally, the bid was put in on/after the opening this morning when the price paid was pushed up slightly.
It still could be a bid on behalf of the "instos" that are on the register, especially if they don't want their holding diluted, if they don't hold a number of opts.
One of the so-called instos holds 25% of the oppies. I use the words "so-called" because the holders are not real instos, they are very wealthy families (from the BRW top 200).
