"Does anybody know what to expect next?"
There are any interesting new Targets. Take a look at last QAR -following an extraction, short term events finally:
"2008 Results and Exploration Strategy for 2009:
The 2008 field season has confirmed the mineralisation potential of the Owen Stanley tenement package. We have successfully integrated spatial imagery, structural interpretation and geophysical methods with traditional field exploration techniques to refine an exploration model that has driven Goldminex’s exploration success in the region. We are confident that we can use this knowledge
base as a vectoring tool to optimise discovery of new mineralised areas during 2009. The Company’s regional exploration has consistently delivered new discoveries. The regional exploration model will be applied to new areas outside of ELs 1355 and 1433 during the current year. Our primary objective for 2009 is to deliver an effective and results oriented programme which adds value to shareholders. A strong focus will be on pushing targets through to the bedrock drill testing stage.
Summary:
• Preliminary interpretation of the heli EM survey has identified a 2km diameter anomaly coincident with high grade gold-copper mineralisation at Foasi, possibly indicative of buried, intrusive-hosted mineralisation
• A new gold copper structure at Kemani hosted in ultramafic rocks extends for over 2 km with rockchip sampling returning up to 91g/t Au and 23% Cu. The larger scale significance of this result is that it indicates the previously unrecognized potential of the extensive areas of
ultramafic rocks in the project area to host gold-copper mineralisation as well as nickel sulphide mineralisation
• EM anomaly identified at Beafa Creek coincident with significant nickel stream sediment geochemistry
Other major exploration achievements in 2008 include:
o Discovery of multiple, outcropping sulphide nickel occurrences over 25km along the Keveri Fault zone.
o Refining the proven regional exploration model by integrating a large dataset consisting of geophysics, geology, geochemistry and satellite imagery
o Commencement of exploratory drilling
Proposed Work Programme for the March Quarter:
Evaluation of the large amount of data generated during the 2008 field season is ongoing. Ongoing activities prior to field work recommencing following the wet season include:
• Assessment of the 2km diameter EM anomaly at Foasi, including detailed modelling of the 21 line EM feature, together with ground follow up to define the feature and
determine a drill strategy
• Evaluate the dataset of the newly discovered Kemani gold copper structure with the objective of defining structure size and potential. Prepare an exploration programme for the surrounding area
• Final evaluation of data from the 3,300 line kilometre VTEM survey to identify all significant anomalies and rank these for follow up
• Evaluation of assay results from the initial Gossan Hill drilling
• Optimising and implementing a regional reconnaissance exploration programme for the Owen Stanley tenements and EL 1420 in the Southern Highlands ..."
