Why has the board not told management to get to work on moving the tailings dam? Why didn't they have a plan B ready to go in the first place? Why don't current shareholders (I'm a past holder) expect more of their management who have underperformed the sector for quite some time now?
There's nothing in the decision that stops the mine proceeding if they move the location of the tailings dam. Regardless of the indigenous heritage it's a pretty significant environmental risk as well.
How about they actually do some homework instead of whinging to a bunch of sympathetic media?
