I also like the commentary regarding bifurcation of market ... iin his opinion its Chinese Carbonate (at RMB250) v RoW and where LiOH is concerned it is capacity constrained and far less elastic. I'd go further and and say if all those NA CAM and Battery plants are built and the focus remains NMC for the NA market then that will further tighten (clean/green) sourced LiOH supply.
On the (long term) negative side, and nothng to do with supply/demand is the Brazilian president and Chinese president and their "love affair". Brasil, Chile, Argentina have plans for a "unified monetary basis" and a much bigger role in global lithium "locally". It wont be good long term for lithium pricing if it moves off the USD standard - IMO.
