Ahh @Rupfel many have prescribed the end of the US$, and yet here we are .... the US$ was/is/remains the world's reserve currency.

The petrodollar system is still in place ... albeit shaky at times ... and China (and Russia) have put much effort into trying to dismantle it. Saudi's reneging it seems on their promise.

If you want to settle your trades with Redbacks - go ahead (but remember the Redback is still pegged to US$). The notion of settling with Bluebacks is laughable. From my perspective ... I would only settle in US$ or not trade.

Remember last year and earlier this year ... Russia demands payments for its oil/gas in RUBLES and fixed price of Rubles to gold (5,000 Rubles to 1g of gold). And since Rubles are not "traded" (as in you can only really buy rubles from/to Russia) that effectively means paying in gold.

I wouldn't waste oxygen on "BRICS" or the expanded BRICS Plus or their "BRICS Pay" (comparable to SWIFT I guess - and perhaps great for the "unbanked population" in those countries). It is BRICS+ (the inlusion of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Egypt and Iran) that gives greater insight the real motives IMO.

Time for the USA to end all foreign aid to Egypt and other countries that undermine them (including those NATO "allies" - that be you Turkey).


Now back to PLL for a moment ... makes PLL's TLP ambition a pretty good bet then doesn't it. Likewise for the CLP project.
