just remember a company can have a market cap of $X but for that to be realised every existing share would have to be sold at the exact current price given. So if it went to let’s say $1.50 tomorrow it would be through a combination of all sell walls being bought and nobody stepping in the way to sell it down.
‘That doesn’t mean large moves can’t be seen and are seen all the time but once they are the price usually declines as sellers take profits and the key is not all of them are getting the top price.
‘the market cap is a good guide to compare companies and sector performance or buyouts, price is the best thing to go off when judging your own trades entry and exits.
bottom line it’s worth what people are willing to pay for it and not everyone will agree hence a market.
