Sally I suggest going and researching the commodities you yourself have listed in terms of the next 10 year forecast...rare earths will be up, uranium will be up, tin will be up etc..and lithium will be up..what you should be doing is trying to invest in those "thousands of components required for the renewables industry" because many of them will be in a major supply deficit. Everything from semiconductors, to copper...If you pick the right company with the right fundamentals you will do well. If you understand why you are investing in something the peaks, troughs and noise are just that..if wall street crashes tomorrow and PLS Drops to $1..fabulous..buy a heap more because it's going up again...look at the price recovery of nearly every asx stock after the April COVID crash..they are all up nearly 100%.
We are in the early stages of a global shift..decarbonization and investment is here and it is because of the economics of it not the feel good I want to save the planet..albeit that is certainly a good thing for my kids. Do yourself a favour and watch this...
