Down ramping, up ramping. Both can be nefarious.
Why would you want to upramp? If you are a LT investor who believes the true value of the company is high will be quite happy for it to burn slowly. Gives you more time to invest and a bigger payoff.
Only people who want to make a quick profit would see value in a rapid rise to true value.
Unless of course you don't have confidence in the company longer term and are second guessing yourself - you might want the price to go up to reduce the nerves.
I have to admit I sometimes fall for that.
But generally - all the noise up those mean old down-rampers... why the angst and vitriol? if you believe in the company, they are helping you by making things easier for you to profit.
