    Correct. Some simple preschool mathematics by the poster of that remark, would show how off the mark the poster is. Benchmark Minerals Intelligence actually have some intelligence and have publicly released data on battery recycling contributions to Lithium supply. I think it was < 10% by 2030 and that may be on the high side.

    So approx' 2.5 M EV's sold in 2020. These batteries will be ready for recycling possibly by 2030 and that depends on 2nd life use of these batteries in ESS systems where capacity reduction is not such a concern. So Deloitte estimate sales of EV's by 2030 will be approx' 25 M vehicles. So if the recovery of Lithium batteries available in 2030 from recycling is 100%(not likely), it will be enough to provide the Lithium for 2.5 Million EV's. We will still need Lithium for another 22.5 Million EV's. 9 times as much Lithium as was provided in 2020 for EV's. Let's not even go down the ESS path. @walmak you may like to come up with some facts to back up your garbage.
