Yes if you want to get down to semantics any share trade transaction could be described as being manipulative - although I think a better descriptor would be being influential.   Its a question of intent.

I confess that I have a limited understanding of all the processes (my education is ongoing), but it seems apparent to me from the various points of view expressed on this forum that I am far from alone in the belief that many stocks, not least of which PLS, are being 'manipulated' every day by way of countless HF trades by privileged organisations that put retail investors at a distinct disadvantage. And so I for one shall continue to "go on" about it as it is illegal and affects our us all financially.

It appears to me that there are two camps when it comes down to the HC discussion re HFT manipulation:

Either - you suck it up and wait for the LT benefits of your investment to accrue as hoped/expected

Or - you express your displeasure and complain about it

The problem is that if you want/need to sell during a time when the SP is being artificially suppressed, you are being robbed, plain and simple
