The Australian-based, ASX-listed stock forum is a hot-bed of dark ops investor relations and pump-and-dump operations, all of which frequently rely on a level of anonymity. But its terms and conditions make clear that the company may "access, preserve, and disclose your account information and content if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to ... protect the rights, property, or personal safety of HotCopper, its users and the public". It's a clause so broad you could drive an A380 through it. But who reads the fine print right?
