That may well be one of the major things to come out of this economic malaise. I have always considered it to be unhealthy for people to be thinking of retiring at 50. 75 seems more realistic as we live longer and need higher wealth to be able to afford all the medical bills associated with staying alive longer.
I was so long ago 15 -20 years that folk retired at 65 and died at 70 - 75. A new paradigm is at play here.
