Adam Kohler on ABC noted that Powell has stated that interest rate rises would be lower than predicted in Dec. Inflation looks like it has peaked in Oct/Nov and we are seeing a decline, even if it is only .3 or so percentage points.
With the stronger US dolallar and some antics in China looking like there are signs of settling down (depending on who you listen to) then some of the signals contibuting to the recent short term fall haven't eventuated into longer term eventuations. Overall sentiment isn't as negative as a handful of cherry picked half truths claim to be.
