Haven't we heard about recession being certain for at least nine months now? If it's so certain and so deep as some people state, wouldn't sophisticated investors not already have priced it in?
If one thinks that markets are forward looking, I would imagine that a share price drop of over 30% from ATH has already some recession scenarios priced in.
If you are going to wait for the last guy to spit out his morning coffee in 2023 when he reads a headline in the newspaper which states that times are not great and then decides to liquidate all his lithium stock positions... then I think that you're that guy, that's getting laughed at by all the sophisticated traders while they are having their morning coffee... after they already have changed to a long position without you even noticing.
