Resources sales hit record (headline)
WA's booming resources sector shows no signs of slowing, with new figures revealing sales hit a record $246 billion in 2022 as demand for gas & battery metals offset lower iron ore prices.
High global gas prices & bumper production drove LNG sales $24b higher to $51b while Lithium rich Spodumene concentrate accounted for $16.3b -- 6 times higher than the amount recorded in 2021 ----- on rising demand from battery makers.
I took a photo of article but couldn't upload it but they were the two paragraphs pertinent to us.
Also in the last paragraph mentions Nickel being in high demand due to being a crucial ingredient in Lithium ion batteries.
So these figures are for WA resources only, bearing in mind PLS must have a substantial slice of that $16.3b Cake!
