That is why I prefer momentum charts with no gaps to disturb my intention to hold while the fundamentals continue to build strongly.
Even momentum charts record temporary dips and downturns, but equally they offer encouraging upturns for buying.
I suppose the same can be said for filled gaps, followed by upturns.
So in that sense the chartists provide helpful buy points?
I could still do without deliberate gap witchcraft.
It is unsettling to see many gaps
During "solid" uptrends.

So if gaps matter it may be unwise to ignore them? (If one is a trader?)

I wonder if gaps are calculated and put in place by Big Money traders as traps for the unwary and the over excited?
I find it hard to believe that chartists here are on the payroll of the manipulators.
Most seem diligent and calm in the face of enemy fire.
I appreciate their honest comments.

PS I assume you may have meant that chartists are providing UNINTENTIONAL support for big money manipulators?
I suppose also some chartists may think "if we can't beat the BEOT, we will try to join them, by understanding their behaviour"?
Which comes first in this battle of wits ... the BEOT Chickens or the rest of us collecting as many eggs as possible?
