That may be, in part, because it is a reasonable chunk of the Lit ETF along with the other major Li stocks like AKE and ALB, LTHM and SQM, etc. + a bunch of higher level battery makers, etc. The Lit ETF doesn't have a lot to do with the price of Li, more how the market has reacted to the price of Li & spod. You might find a higher correlation to the Li spod prices and for, no apparent reason, the Li carbonate price coming out of China. PLS doesn't make LiCO3 yet so it shouldn't react to that but it does seem to do so.
