I wasnt trying to catch you out, I was trying to follow your strategy which was not aligned with my understanding as I couldnt see your trade amongst other things. You reported execution prices that didnt happen.

I'm not your adviser, but the diff between your bhp 48c of 20c is your profit not spread. You opened/closed the same position; in contrast spread is the dr/cr against a combo strategy eg bull spread if you went long calls and short calls at a higher strike you would receive a net dr/cr which is your spread. Whilst I acknowledge your use of ETOs may be working, you would be better off going deep ITM puts in your bhp trade. In/out of a covered call isn't really a good use of your money as its covered so you may as well hold to expiry and get the full credit. If you are worried about being assigned on the short just go higher strike and push out to a longer dated series.
