Quiet day today - 6.5c spread today on the SP. Maybe a little fun. I'm liking my horse picking/betting to share trading charting. -- lots of laughter!!!!
1. Picking a race to make a selection/bet on. (like picking a stock). Races with only 8-12 horses in it, only on the metro tracks Wed and Sat. No betting on heavy track days. A few dangers betting other days.
2. INDICATORS FOR SELECTION -
check the last 3-5 runs for placings and wins and for the last 20 starts (on TAB/sportsbet website) check their % of wins and places check the barrier draw check the distance of their recent runs check where they ran in those races - near the lead or back in the pack check if same jockey check if they are in the top 4-5 in betting - try not to back the favorite try to pick a horse paying $1.80 or higher 1.80 to say 3.00
3. Make a selection using some or all of the above. Good luck.
Some times just the name of the horses catches your eye - the other week - a horse called - SHEZABLUECHIP. (reminded me of PLS) Yep it got up and I did back it.
I only bet for the place mainly. The problem is which selections to bet on. Last Saturday about 14 selections - 5 winners 6 placings and 3 unplaced. This happens very regularly - highish no of collects to selections. I backed 4 and was lucky all placed. Made about 50% profit in 4 months. Still fine tuning it. All done for a bit of interest and fun. Wish I could make 50% on my shares in 4 mths regularly. Hope some of you enjoyed it.
