Here is a BB daily notification of CBA - the required notice to the AXS at least 30 mins before trading starts the day after the company has done the BB the previous day. Someone today said he didn't know too much about them. I don't know the limits but they can be quite big - in the USA it is 25% of company value. A company can't put itself in financial difficulty by doing a BB. Also there are different rules for companies BB doing more or less than 10% of their capital. This CBA $3B BB was for 12mths - after 12mths they had only bought $1.8B, so requested a further 12 mths.
My question to you is how many shares should the company buy back and what effect do you think it will have on the SP - shares on issue 3,007,000,000 shares.
