Trading volumes today can be described as anaemic (at best). That doesn't augur well for the late afternoon session with some negative sentiment re-emerging out of the US once more.
The Biden/ Xi discussions did not seem to make any progress on the new energy economy. This could reinvigorate the shorts to recommence their program(s) of selling.
Even more convinced we will see the gap close today.
