I think the charts need to be taken in a macro environment context.
The big boys have bought to hold long- they are just cashing in on a temporary downturn in Li pricing to lend short.
The trendiness you refer to are monthly- short term. The yearly - long trend is clearly up and so is demand.
The constant 'falling EV demand' narrative stinks of desperation to me.
The big boys will burn the shorts as soon as the narrative is disproven. A bounce in Li pricing will precede this - it's imminent imo.
Even with all the ammo being used shorts are struggling to contain this at circa $3.50.
I feel confident this will break upwards, and relatively soon too. This is a wholly manufactured chart atm. imo.
