I don't understand what your point is.
Relative performance in sample periods may give a sense of :-
(a) Buyer strength
(b) Current direction
No one I know expects a 5 year experience or a 14 day experience
to repeat over a short future period.
The current half year may matter more to some people than others
I don't see how 5 years helps a 6 month outlook.
If the 6 months starts badly who can tell what comes next? Can you?
Some stocks doing better than others may warrant further careful research.
It is a method I am prepared to test myself with no sentiment or advice implied.
