First up I don't think short sellers are stupid. the info they use is second to that of an insider who is actually involved in the business. probably better than that used by most analysts and for that matter the average bloke on Hotcopper. I just don't know what they are thinking. All I know is when they buy and sell.
Secondly, lithium prices may not be on the way up. sure they are up today, but that is just one day. the big question will be... will it continue to rise?
Let's see where the lithium price is in a couple of months. So far the trend has been down.
Taken together, probably, best to maintain my sell sentiment until proven otherwise
