On the 25th of March PLS announced a joint feasibility study with Ganfeng (1772.HK) Details below.
Pilbara Minerals and Ganfeng sign a binding term sheet to complete a joint feasibility study on a ~32
thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) downstream lithium conversion plant1 (Feasibility Study).
On the 25 Mar 2024 Ganfeng SP was 23.85. On the 24 Mar 2023 Ganfeng SP was 48.75. That's a 52% drop in one year. Great partner?
On the 25 Mar 2024 PLS SP was 3.88. On the 24 Mar 2023 PLS SP was 3.56. So a 7.63% gain for the year.
That's in a year where the income from the PLS quarterly reports has dropped 76%.
Looking at the facts something very strange is going on.
What plans likes of JP Morgan , State Street and Goldman Sachs have for the SP can only be guessed at. Blackrock and Vanguard are probably lurking n the background as well.
The only thing I am certain of is that when something serious begins to play out, none of the above will be losing serious money. No wonder that PLS is one of the most heavily shorted stocks on the ASX.
