This is a 3 year chart comparing the performance of SQM and PLS. An investment in SQM in April 2021 would have lost 8.97%, while the same investment in PLS would have gained 253%.


This is a 3 year chart comparing the performance of ALB and PLS. An investment in ALB in April 2021 would have lost 14.01%, while the same investment in PLS would have gained 253%.

What do these 2 charts show?

They simply show that for the last 3 years PLS has by far outperformed ALB and SQM!! That is a fact!

Now, someone might say: "Yes, but that is a naive reading of the charts. My long experience in the share market and my expertise in charts and financial numbers inform me what the charts show is actually an unjustified anomaly in PLS' share price. It is an unjustified anomaly because it doesn't match the result obtained by ALB and SQM, its peers. And so it is unsustainable, and because it is unsustainable, logically it will have to tumble sometime in the future."

But do peers have always to have a similar result? No!! One or more can outperform the others.

If PLS' outperformance is unjustified, logically it shouldn't/couldn't have lasted for almost 3 years. If PLS' share price is unsustainable, logically it should have tumbled months ago. What is it waiting for?

Is it waiting for the quarterly result? I doubt it. Surely, if the in-house number cruncher can predict that the income will drop, number crunchers from institutions know it too. Then what are they waiting for? Logically institutions would have started selling off if they know the share price will drop because the income is dropping. Is there any sign of selling off by institutions? No!!
