A few days ago I came across news that CATL had launched a long life EV battery (1.5m km) with a 15 year warranty. It seems that these new batteries are designed with commercial vehicles in mind as the first choice. Especially Busses.
It certainly caught my attention and thought could be a bit of a game changer across the entire Lith related industry.
I like to do comparison charts of various PLS related Lith peer companies. Includes Lith miners, chemical processors and battery makers.
So I did this comparison chart of CATL(300750) , ALB , SQM and Tianqi (002466) . I could have included more but it started to get too crowded.
It's early days yet but CATL does seem to be breaking away from the herd.
Trying to get your head around the implications to the entire Lith industry is challenging.

The article also describes significant battery price reduction. No mention of scaling down to passenger vehicles as yet.
