The fossil fuel industry is really pushing their agenda now, as battery technology slowly eats at their profits... just ignore it...
This is a tactic try and stall the uptake of renewables and batteries...
If you take the process from extracting oil out the ground to all the refining of the oil,
Batteries will never come anywhere near how much damage they do...
Nickel alloys the material of choice for oil and gas as well as power generation industries.
Cobalt is also used in petroleum refinement.
