In my modelling in yesterdays post for my estimate of the March quarterly results, I got some things correct but seriously missed other factors.
Results just released
* Shipped 5.3% spod results were 165k DMT within my range of 150-170K DMT.
* Seriously over estimated the $US price for 5.3% spod. My estimate was $US1,030 - 1130. The result was $US804. That's a 27% reduction on the price achieved in the Dec 2023 quarterly. Smashed again.
* As a consequence my estimate of $AUD revenue $AUD225-275m was too high with the result being $AUD192m.
My revised revenue estimate for the FY 2023/24 is down from $AUD 1.4B to $AUD 1.1B. So heading towards almost 1/4th of the 2022/23 $AUD 4.1B revenue.
So the Lithium spod prices have gone through a full bubble cycle. June Qtr 2021 $US 825 , Dec Qtr 2022 $US 5,668, Mar Qtr 2024 $US 804.
Prices from PLS quarterlies, not from dodgy Chinese sources.
