Just to be clear, the gap isn’t that big. At SC5.3, US $840 is the equivalent SC6 price of approximately US $950.
The stockpile had grown over previous quarters so there is no point in that continuing and shows customer demand is there for quality SC. If the supply glut narrative was true, I doubt extra shipping would have happened. IMO, it indicates some of the dodgy African/Chinese supply has dropped off.
The supply to Posco is a supply agreement like any other contract and will always show as shipped tonnes. We don’t know the terms but previous commentary from the company indicates it is similar to existing contracts, if not the same.
As we know. the price of Lithium can turn quickly, both ways. Refer back to 2021/22. There was a glut until there wasn’t.
