So, what will the various lithium prices be on the GFEX when it opens this morning in Shanghai?
Cos, that is what is primarily driving the pricing of lithium stocks at present. This market is highly influenced by the actions of parties with vested interests in the direction of forward pricing. It appears "team downward" is winning at present following yesterday's 1.6% drop in the lithium pricing (on average).
But, does that mean they will still be in the ascendancy come 11:30am (AEST) today?
Today could be the day "team up" prevails and we see a spike in pricing.
After all, we have been here spruiking how it has been the shorters continually driving the price down. Perhaps the shorters have been used as camouflage (or a smokescreen) for another group that sits amongst us - the trader. Don't forget who pulls the levers on Wall Street - the big investment banks.
Between putting out rubbery market price forecasts, through to rubbish demand/ supply forecasts, to dodgy investment analyst reports on lithium stocks, to advising companies on M&A opportunities and so many other aspects of finance why is it these investment banks can't make a little on the side trading stocks and other market instruments???
The fact is they do and we (the retail crowd) are simply cannon fodder.
So, there's a good chance that come 4:00pm today PLS will be in the green.
