It seems that you don't even have to be informed that your shares (yes YOUR SHARES) are being 'lent' out to shorters let alone having any way of recalling them as and when.
It is a grubby practice - at the very least there should be a requirement that those that allow your shares to be shorted need your permission to do so - oh and maybe even pass on to you the fees earnt! Would that be so much to expect??
