I reckon they should start with building a hydroxide plant, and source their feedstock from elsewhere. Cashflow from same, if they have the guts, could be recycled into the geothermal project concept later on. The EU want to reduce their dependence on China, and given the expected deficits for this decade, that would solve a few problems for the EU supply chain, could be built and ramped in 24 months, at half the cost of the geothermal project.
