Gareth I'm not as concerned about the Anniversary date for the .36c shares as many here....people that were entitled to them at the time were current share holders, many of them long term I suspect.
Selling relative to CGT rules is FIFO not LIFO so you'd be selling earlier parcels that would have tripped the 50% CGT exemption in many instances anyway e.g. I've held since 2016 so if I sell a parcel it'll be those first. Point being people may have been selling a parcel equal to their .36c entitlement etc. right the way along and it would have met the CGT 50% exemption requirements at any rate.
Companies/Institutions it matters not different treatment.
