When FMG turned the corner and big dollars started flowing in (2018?) they set up a $500million on market share buy back scheme. It was a flexible arrangement professionally managed and would swing into operation when the share price was being sold into if it was considered to be unreasonably sold into. Holders would scream on their Hot Copper platform for action when they felt they were being screwed. And frequently the cavalry would arrive and arrest the situation. FMG didn't need to spend anything like $500m but to a large degree (IMO) achieved what they set out to do. All we need is the big dollars, coming soon, and in time maybe we could consider introducing something similar. That is my recollection of events and may bear no resemblance to fact.
